Rafael Gris known as "Rafijah Siano" was born on the beautiful island of St.Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Born of Hispanic heritage with a profound knowledge of himself and his roots, he is determined to make an impact on music in as many ways as possible. With his mother born in Puerto Rico and father from the Dominican Republic, Rafijah is naturally diverse in both his culture and talent.
Since finding his passion in music at the age of 14, he has been fully dedicated to his journey in making great music for the world. Rafijah has proven himself time and time again to be a most versatile artist from singing reggae, soca, merengue and even reggaeton.
From elementary to junior-high, he has been known for his fierce chanting and infectiously melodic singing. Rafijah Siano got his first break at age 14 when West Line Productions gave him an opening spot at the Lady Saw & Madd Cobra Concert in the US Virgin Islands. Two years later he then formed the Star Lion Family which consisted of seven (7) individuals from seven different locations on the island, each known to come from a "ghetto".
They empowered brotherly love and showed unity throughout their community. With members like Ickarus, Kimbe-Dan A.K.A King Dan, Siras Hotta Wrath, Jahgon Nature, Pressure and Niyorah, the Star Lion Family dynamically changed the way residents felt about local talent with their diverse delivery.
Rafijah has been fortunate to share the stage with well known artists such as Sizzla, Junior Reid, Junior Kelly, Sean Paul, Capelton, Turbulance, Bunny Wailer, Third World, and many other International artists. Most recently Rafijah Siano has just returned to the US mainland from his latest European Tour; in which he has gained more devout fans of his music. Rafijah Siano is the future of Reggae, a musical art form that is diverse and in need of a versatile artist such as himself.
